Micky has some 40 years' of geological experience covering exploration, mining, environmental performance, project evaluation and finance, state privatisations and preparation of competent persons reports. His commodity experience includes industrial minerals (aggregates, bauxite, diamonds, dolomite, marble, potash, salt); energy (coal, renewables, uranium, oil and gas); ferrous metals (iron ore, manganese); base metals (cobalt, copper, lead, zinc); and precious metals (gold, silver).
Beata is a metallurgical engineer with 15 years of experience in metals consultancy. During this time she participated in many different consulting projects in the ferrous and non-ferrous metals industries, principally in Europe, the Middle East and South America. She specialises in project financial analysis, including mine cost modelling, iron and steel cost modelling (including ironmaking, DRI-making, steelmaking, casting and rolling) and other non-ferrous cost modelling. Beata has experience in providing technical process evaluation, market analysis and in the provision of pricing forecasts; and in the preparation of concept studies, bankable feasibility appraisals and due diligence studies in various industries including iron, steel, ferroalloys, silicon and aluminium. She offers strategic decision support for clients such as lenders and investors regarding the financial viability of projects; and works as lenders technical advisor to provide project monitoring during the project construction and operational phase.
John is an experienced independent mineral development consultant. He has high levels of competence and experience as an expert witness in various legal proceedings and project manager, substantial involvement in policy development and policy research, extensive experience of mineral development issues throughout the UK and abroad, specialist experience in the assessment of impacts of mineral development and unbiased assessment and presentation. He was the lead UK advisor to Wolf Minerals on the Hemerdon tungsten prospect from 2008-2013 and has advised industry and regulatory agencies on other base and precious metal prospects across the UK. John contributed to the UK Resource Security Action Plan and the UK Minerals Strategy.
David has over 40 years' experience in the mining and minerals industries, spanning operations, consultancy and economic analysis. He spent five years in Namibia as a Mining / Exploration Geologist working at the Kombat Cu/Pb/Ag mine and on various base metal and gold exploration projects. He has experience in economic analyses of the copper industry, and in nickel, cobalt, lithium and molybdenum.
Roger is Practice Head for SteelExpertWitness and specialises in steel and iron ore market-related expert witness work, especially price and contract-related issues. He has been involved in expert witness work for over a decade and has completed many reports and assignments, including attending and being cross examined at arbitration tribunals in London, Singapore and Hong Kong. He has worked with a wide range of law firms and counsels, and is used to delivering accurate and robust expert reports. He also has experience as a peer reviewer. His knowledge of the mining sector includes an in depth understanding of the world of resources and reserves.
Jean-Luc has 30 years' experience in international trading of physical and derivatives commodities (futures, swaps, options and warrants) across a variety of exchanges (including LME, CME, SGX, SHFE, DCE) as well as other over-the-counter markets. His operational and advisory roles span across base, non-ferrous and ferrous metals; including refined and bulk materials. Jean-Luc has experience working for and with leading metal trading houses, mining and refining companies, the manufacturing and construction sectors as well as financial institutions such as banks, brokers and commodities exchanges. He specialises in physical pricing and derivative markets disputes.
Roger has over 30 years' experience in the international metals sectors. He has worked widely in the aluminium and alumina sectors with Alcan, Billiton and Alcoa. A variety of senior appointments has given Roger a broad spectrum of skills through technical, project & technology evaluation and commercial roles. With plant director experience of Europe's largest secondary lead smelter, he has extensive knowledge of both primary and secondary operations. Roger also has extensive MD and Board-level skills in the international resources sector along with significant Performance Management, Project Management, M&A and Due Diligence experience.
Ian is a Mineral Processing Engineer with over 30 years' experience in operating, designing and commissioning base and precious metal concentration plants. He is an expert in the processing of different gold ore types, including refractory ores; and has a detailed understanding of comminution, gravity concentration and flotation processes.
Sean has 30 years' experience in EU governance, administration and processes as well as in international administration, consultancy and the corporate mining sector. He is focused on strategic advice and advocacy in reputation management, sustainability and multi-sector partnerships for public, private and not-for-profit corporations. In operational and advisory roles, he has been implementing improvements to the financial and operational infrastructure for clients including two gold mining projects in Mexico. He has advised the CEO and Board on strategy for a Toronto-listed company, working on issue resolution and ESG matters for their flagship gold and silver mining project in Romania. He has also supported the licence to operate for nickel and cobalt for a largescale international commodity corporate. More recently, Sean has been an OECD delegate in Paris working on responsible mineral supply chains in Africa with a focus on the DRC.
Ellis is an aluminium plant operations expert, with experience in the erection, installation and commissioning of a new production facilities. As a former Managing Director / Operations Director / Chief Commercial Officer of several non-ferrous metals plants, Ellis has over 30 years' experience in melt shop and rolling mill operations (including SAP implementation, quality control, mill maintenance, manpower planning, supply chain optimisation, manufacturing cost reduction).
Peter specialises in cases relating to the distribution of metal products from mill to end user, including commercial arrangements to manage supply chains through service centres and other intermediaries. He has much experience in the detailed arrangements required to operate strategic cross-border supply relationships under framework agreements in different customer sectors and also with disputed intellectual property issues.
